Estate Administration

Whether you were named executor in a will, or appointed by a judge as the personal representative of the estate because the person had no will, the duties are largely the same:

• Find the will and open the estate
• Gather assets
• Pay debts of the estate
• Liquidate assets if necessary
• Distribute the remainder according to provisions of the will*
• File income tax returns
• File an account with the probate court

* If there is no will, the probate court will dictate asset allocation according to Connecticut statute.

Probate Litigation

I am a veteran trial lawyer with extensive experience in legal disputes that arise in settling an estate. I represent named heirs, excluded heirs, or the estate in will contests:
